When will my order be dispatched?
Orders placed before 9am should be sent the same day.
Order placed after 9am should be sent the next business day.
Please note: this applies for orders that are in stock only. Backorders will be shipped as soon as stock is available.
Orders over $75 receive free standard shipping. Express shipping can be purchased for expedited shipping. You can confirm your shipping options and pricing on the checkout page.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order will be either shipped with Australia Post or a Courier service depending on your location and parcel weight.
We use several carriers to deliver our online orders. The tracking link in your shipping confirmation email(s) will take you directly to the carrier’s website to track your package.
Depending on your order size and delivery location, your parcel will be shipped with one or more of the below carriers. Most orders of 20kg or less will ship via Australia Post.
- Australia Post – Small items – Australia wide
- Direct Freight- Small to Large items – Australia wide
- Couriers Please – Small items – Metropolitan areas
- TNT Express – Large items – Australia wide
For standard post, Australia Post provides the following guide:
- Standard Metro delivery: 2-7 business days*
- Standard Regional delivery: 5-7 business days*
- Standard Remote delivery: 7-14 business days*

Please note: All relevant tracking information will be emailed to you upon dispatch. Larger orders may be sent in multiple bags/boxes and each item will be listed on your tracking code separately. Please ensure you check each item for the delivery timeframe as occasionally these can be separated in transit.
We always strive to ensure on-time delivery, but there may be instances when packages may be delivered past the estimated date. For example, this may occur with split orders where we dispatch the order in multiple shipments due to weight limits. Once your order is with the carrier service we are unable to influence delivery times.
A return label will be provided for any faulty or incorrect products received. The cost of returning a faulty or incorrect products will be covered by McKays Grass Seeds.
If you ordered items in error, or have changed your mind, you can return unwanted items to our warehouse within 1 month of your purchase date. Your seeds must arrive with intact packaging and be in original condition. The cost of returning the product will not be covered by McKays Seeds. (Returns will not be accepted nor refunds provided for made to order custom blends)
Please contact us if you wish to make a return and we will provide you with the return address details.
If you are shipping any item you must use using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We recommend Australia Post for items under 20kg, and Couriers for items over 20kg. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
After arrival of your parcel to the warehouse this will be checked that it is intact. This process can take up to 7 business days following arrival to the warehouse. Your refund will be processed following this.
